Mr. Martin R. Castro
U.S. Commission on Civil
Rights

Dear Mr. Castro:
The things we fear most
are the things we least understand. And
sadly, some things we fear are the consequence of our lack of desire, energy,
purpose or ability to comprehend.
Clearly, Christianity to you is defined by your own worldly experiences.
Isn’t it amazing how we
can take some of our finest concepts and ideas and completely pervert
them. Humans just have a way of taking
something good and turning it into something mediocre or worse, and religion is
not exempt from this truth. So we must
be certain before we defile anything that we distinguish between the purpose
and the execution.
You would serve yourself
well to study the ministry of Jesus Christ.
Respectfully,
Bill Monroe
