I Know Him Well

May 16, 2014

Professor Brent Terry
Eastern Connecticut State University
83 Windham Street
Willimantic, CT  06226

Dear Professor Terry:

Wow!  So you don’t like conservatives.  Would that have anything to do with your personal inadequacies?  Can it be that you don’t possess those talents most admired by our culture, and that you were always trying to measure up to the expectations of others?  Have you always resented the “fortunate” ones because you were different and overlooked?  Is that where your anger and bitterness began to take control of your values and common sense?

And regarding money-grubbing, do you accept a paycheck for your chosen occupation?  I mean, really, you don’t actually perform tricks for others just to get money, do you?  You bring to mind the punch line from a famous quip by Winston Churchill, “Madam, we’ve already established the fact [that you are a prostitute], now we’re negotiating the price.”

Most people who argue against religion do so not because they are convicted by their own intellect or the intellect of others, but because they couldn’t continue in their current lifestyle.  It’s morality that defines our ideology, not our intellect.  It’s the same with politics! Liberals build their intellectual arguments around their moral choices, which are simply extensions of their corrupted emotional health.

I’m sorry sir, but you are not a freedom fighter!  You are an emotionally unhealthy, unstable human who has wasted the natural talents and gifts entrusted to you.  Sadly, I know you well, and I’ve seen the wake of tragedy left by your ignorance.

Sincerely,

Bill Monroe

"What Are You Afraid Of?"

June 20, 2014

Mr. Jody Ian Goeler
Superintendent
Regional School District 14
5 Minortown Road
Woodbury, CT  06798

Dear Mr. Goeler:

I remember when the Chief Executive Officer of British Petroleum was forced to resign his position as a consequence of the underwater oil leak from the wellhead in the Gulf of Mexico.  Clearly he was not an expert on the safety and security of his company’s oil wells nor did he have firsthand knowledge of situation prior to the incident.  However, he was the man at the top and someone’s head had to roll.  Why?  Because it is the responsibility of the senior leader to define and establish the corporate culture and to enforce those values at any cost.

Why is it in our culture that we expect private sector leaders to be ultimately responsible and accountable for the mistakes which occur on his or her watch, but we don’t expect the same from our leaders in the public sector?  Double standard?

With that said, I don’t believe for a minute you were unaware of the internet censorship in your school district just as I don’t believe for a minute that two years of Lois Lerner’s emails have accidentally disappeared.

Here’s what I think you should do to complete your assault on liberty because it worked so well for the Germans in the 1930’s and early 1940’s.  Each student should have to identify their political values, conservative or liberal, and then, so we can single them out for further indoctrination, you should make all the conservatives where large “yellow stars”.  This would also greatly enhance your ability to intimidate and persecute those whose values are different from your own.  Gosh, you might even consider segregating these conservatives from the other students, and, if they don’t conform, you just simply expel them from your school district.

What do you say Mr. Superintendent – is it worth a try?

Seriously, the only reason people attempt to suppress the views and values of another is fear.  You need to look in the mirror and ask yourself, “What am I afraid of?”

Sincerely,

Bill Monroe

Hit Them Where It Hurts

June 26, 2014

Mr. Thomas J. Donohue
President & Chief Executive Officer
U.S. Chamber of Commerce
1615 H Street NW
Washington, DC  20062-2000

Dear Mr. Donohue:

I am an educated, informed and rational human being.  I am not given to impetuous actions, emotional outbursts or irrational behavior.  I am a Christian man who does his very best to love others as I love myself and to put their needs before my own.

However, there comes a time when following the rules, adhering to protocol, and working within the system simply doesn’t get the job done.  It is then and only then that mature, concerned, and rational people look to unorthodox means to achieve their objectives.

Of all the issues, controversies, and scandals facing our country today, the one that troubles me the most and presents the most imminent threat to our way of life, is the deliberate use of the Internal Revenue Service to achieve or affect certain political outcomes.  Congress clearly understands this violation of the public trust but they have become such an impotent and feckless body we cannot rely on them to remedy this abuse of power.

The American people need to get the attention of our elected officials to let them know we are not going to standby any longer and watch our liberties be confiscated by a government that no longer respects nor serves the people.  The question becomes, “how do we get their attention?”

The answer is simple – suspend their ability to wastefully spend our tax dollars by curtailing our withholding tax payments.  Not forever or even for an extended period of time – just long enough to make sure the message is received.  And once they know we can do it, they’ll know we can do it again.

But you say, that would be against the law.  It seems to me that if our political leadership can selectively choose which laws to ignore and which to enforce, the same privilege should extend to the taxpayer.  If we were to organize a national withholding tax payment strike in which hundreds, if not thousands, of businesses withheld their tax payments, it would overwhelm the IRS’s ability to enforce the law.  And even if they did, the cost of the penalty would be completely justified by the nature of our message.

There are times and issues that demand we do what is necessary to secure our freedoms.  There have been many such examples throughout our national history and it is time for another shining moment of American courage and independence.  Your organization is in the right place at the right time to lead this national strike and to be forever identified with other great and noble acts of courage and patriotism.

Sincerely,

Bill Monroe
