I Know Him Well

Dear Professor Terry:

Wow!  So you don’t like conservatives.  Would that have anything to do with your personal inadequacies?  Can it be that you don’t possess those talents most admired by our culture, and that you were always trying to measure up to the expectations of others?  Have you always resented the “fortunate” ones because you were different and overlooked?  Is that where your anger and bitterness began to take control of your values and common sense?

And regarding money-grubbing, do you accept a paycheck for your chosen occupation?  I mean, really, you don’t actually perform tricks for others just to get money, do you?  You bring to mind the punch line from a famous quip by Winston Churchill, “Madam, we’ve already established the fact [that you are a prostitute], now we’re negotiating the price.”

Most people who argue against religion do so not because they are convicted by their own intellect or the intellect of others, but because they couldn’t continue in their current lifestyle.  It’s morality that defines our ideology, not our intellect.  It’s the same with politics! Liberals build their intellectual arguments around their moral choices, which are simply extensions of their corrupted emotional health.

I’m sorry sir, but you are not a freedom fighter!  You are an emotionally unhealthy, unstable human who has wasted the natural talents and gifts entrusted to you.  Sadly, I know you well, and I’ve seen the wake of tragedy left by your ignorance.

Sincerely,

Bill Monroe
